Down, Ye Rabble-Rousers!!!

I was reading a post by the ultra-conservative Michelle Malkin, where she admits that she “laughed out loud” when Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin made their jokes about community organizers. I was hoping to get some insight into her views on community organizing, and why she would laugh out loud at the insults. Instead, she just claims to enjoy “sarcasm” that “snarky left-wingers” do not. (Ha-ha. Watch me make fun of other people’s noble work. You’re a riot, Alice!) She spins the insults this way:

Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors’ lives. What deserves ridicule is the notion that Obama’s brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan nonprofits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in.

OK, first of all, that’s NOT at all what Giuliani said or implied or what Sarah Palin said or implied. If that’s what Rudy or Sarah meant, why didn’t they just say that? No, they insulted the entire idea of community organizing. BECAUSE THEY REALLY MEAN IT. Second of all, look at the words Malkin uses, like: “rabble-rouser” …. She’d probably have wanted to stifle the Boston Tea Party!

Then her article veers away and instead goes into some great detail about a particular community organization (ACORN) and a scandal of less than trooper-gate proportions. I was hoping for insight. Instead I found a diversion. How does it read to you? (Prepare to be bored.)
